Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Human Hope Foundation ("we", "us" or "our") collects when you buy and use Human Hope Daily at https://humanhopefoundation.com, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. The app is built around a simple idea: your prayer journal is yours, and we should know as little about you as the service needs.
In short
- We collect your email, your name if you give it, your plan and order details, and the content you create in the app.
- Journal entries are stored encrypted and synced across your devices. Scripture Guide messages are processed without your name or email attached.
- No advertising, no sale of data, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics.
- We share data only with the providers that run the service (Stripe, our email delivery, hosting and AI processing providers), all under contract.
- Export or delete your data at any time by emailing support@humanhopefoundation.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account. The email address you use at checkout and sign-in, and your first name if you choose to add it.
- Order. The plan you bought, the amount, date, order number and Stripe payment reference. Your full card number goes directly to Stripe and never reaches our servers.
- Journal and app content. Prayer journal entries, reading-plan progress, bookmarks and Family Circle or group membership. Journal entries are encrypted in transit and at rest and synced across your devices.
- Scripture Guide messages. The messages you send to the Scripture Guide and the replies you receive. Messages are sent to our AI processing provider without your name, email or account identifier attached. We keep your conversation history and count messages against your monthly allowance.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request, pages requested), kept for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use information
We use your information to deliver your plan, send the access email and service messages, sync your content across devices, answer support requests, process refunds, detect abuse, keep the service secure and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not use your journal or Scripture Guide messages to train AI models, to profile you or for marketing.
3. What we do not do
- We show no advertising and never sell, rent or trade personal information.
- We use no tracking pixels, advertising cookies or third-party analytics scripts. The only cookies are those needed to keep you signed in.
- We send marketing email only if you opt in, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract:
- Stripe, which processes payments and holds your card details.
- Our email delivery provider, which sends the access email and service messages to your address.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the encrypted app data in the United States.
- Our AI processing provider, which generates Scripture Guide responses from messages sent without user identifiers.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect a person's safety or to enforce our Terms. If the app is ever transferred to another organization, your data would move with it under this policy and you would be notified.
5. Retention
- Journal entries, app content and Scripture Guide history are deleted 30 days after your access ends, or sooner if you ask.
- Account and order records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute purposes, generally seven years.
- Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
6. Your rights: export and deletion
You can export your prayer journal at any time from Settings inside the app, and for 30 days after access ends. To delete your account and all content, correct your details or receive a copy of the personal information we hold, email support@humanhopefoundation.com from your account address; we act within 30 days. Deletion permanently removes your journal; order records needed for accounting are retained.
7. Children
Plans may only be purchased by adults. Children aged 13 to 17 may use the app under a family or group plan supervised by a parent or guardian; we collect only the email needed for their sign-in and their own journal content, which the parent cannot read. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls that limit staff access to what support requires, and regular backups. No system is completely secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you and any regulator as the law requires. Report security concerns to support@humanhopefoundation.com.
9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, email us; we verify requests by matching your account email.
10. Visitors from the EU, EEA and UK (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your data to perform our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR / UK GDPR), to meet legal obligations and, for security logs, on the basis of our legitimate interests. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our providers for transfers to the United States.
11. Where data is processed
Human Hope Foundation is based in New Mexico, United States, and our providers process data in the United States; by using the app you understand that your information is processed there.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes are announced inside the app or by email before they take effect.
